Hi! It’s that time of year when many college students are shoving their Patagonias into airtight bags, picking out their Passport covers, and trying to figure out how they are going to fit five pairs of booties into the top zipper of their suitcase… gearing up for studying abroad! I was lucky enough to live in Prague (which is a true DREAM fairytale city) for the fall semester of my junior year and it was hands-down one of the best, most fun, and craziest experiences of my life. I truly believe that there are few times in life when you can learn more about yourself and your friends, than living in a foreign country for four+ months.
Through that time I figured out a LOT, and fortunately wrote a lot of my learnings down 🙂 I wanted to resurface some of those blog posts for those who are preparing to go abroad now, because they are still as applicable and (hopefully) helpful as ever. Below are my blog posts that share my tips from studying abroad and the travel diaries I created while I was there. I traveled to many other places as well, such as Vienna (Christmas market capital of the WORLD– you have to visit when they’re in full swing), Interlaken (do a helicopter ride over the Swiss Alps if you don’t skydive, you will THANK me), Budapest (go to a “sparty”– one of the best nights of my life), and a few others.
Also, weirdly enough but I was never able to write an entire blog post about Prague, probably because I thought I couldn’t do it justice or sum up just how much I adored it, so if you’d like my Prague recommendations and tips just shoot me an email 🙂

You can see every other travel diary I’ve done here, including the ones from our recent trip to Rome and the Amalfi coast– which are definitely two places I’d say that you can’t miss while studying abroad! Also make sure to share this post with anyone you know who’s traveling abroad this year! xx
Hey Amy! It would be super neat to read a post of what NOT to take studying abroad. 🙂

Hi! Oh that’s such a good question– I’d say that I didn’t bring and didn’t need the following: Hunter Boots, stiletto heels, gym shorts (I only wore leggings), multiple bathingsuits (I just brought two!), sorority sweatshirts (try to stay away from anything that screams “American college student” ha), and extra makeup (there are Sephora stores all over Europe!). I hope that helps a bit! Thanks for reading. xx
