The Magical Hair Duo
Has anyone else been on the hunt for a simple product that can make their blowout last for more than a few hours?? (*Raises hand*). Well, this blog post goes out to everyone who would much rather body shower and make their hair last as long as possible… or who worked really hard to blow out their hair and want to make sure it actually stays and is worth their while. I feel you.
I recently took a self-proclaimed challenge (what better time to do that than the in-between time around Christmas and New Year’s?) and went three full days without wetting or washing my hair. Now, this is a long time for my hair, since it’s so blonde and shows oil really easily (my roots tend to get darker and we all know I am not about that 😂).
I blew it out on Day 1 and then didn’t get it near water until the very end of Day 3! During that time, I didn’t use any products besides the two you’ll see featured here — Pantene’s Never Tell Dry Shampoo Spray and Pantene’s Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist. They were both new products to me, though I am not new to the Pantene brand, as it’s been in my family’s showers and shelves for years. I have to admit I was nervous about what my hair would look like on Day 3 (which just so happened to be Christmas Eve!), but I had a ton of fun trying out both products and seeing how they magically transformed my hair!
Here’s a look at the chronicles of the three days and how my hair ended up…
I blew out my hair as normal & used Pantene’s Never Tell Dry Shampoo Spray to spray my roots and sections of my dry hair to preventatively absorb oil and dirt.
I curled my former blow out and used Pantene’s Never Tell Dry Shampoo Spray to absorb the oil that had accumulated in my roots (starting at the roots and working it down) + Pantene’s Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist to smooth any fly aways and nourish it (I used this on the bottom half of my hair).
I brushed through my curls and used Pantene’s Never Tell Dry Shampoo Spray to absorb the oil + Pantene’s Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist to smooth my frizzies and hydrate it… then I threw it into a headband!
Oh my word. My Day 3 hair actually looked good, and not like the complete rat’s nest hair that I’m used to!! As I mentioned, my lighter blonde hair usually shows oil SO easily. I couldn’t believe how the dry shampoo and dry conditioner absorbed it as well as it did.
I am also now officially obsessed with the smell of the Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist– it’s exactly what your hair usually smells like after getting a fresh blowout at a salon. I’ve yet to achieve that scent at home before now! Not to mention the product is like if leave-in conditioner and a styling spray had a baby… unreal.
Here’s a full breakdown of both products and what I found their top benefits to be… also, how cute are their product names?!

Convinced to take the challenge yet and see how long you can go without wetting your hair but still keeping it fresh?! You can find both products from the Pantene Waterless Collection online or in stores at Rite Aid. Definitely scoop them up on your next errand there and challenge yourself to go 3+ days without washing your wetting your hair.
It’s going to be a game changer for how I save time by making the most of my hair styles and relying on quick body showers instead of the usual 45-minute ordeals my showers + hair dries tend to be! You better believe I’m not wasting any time in making the most of 2021. 😉
Try them out and I’m betting you’ll be just as pleasantly surprised and blown away as I was. xx
