Grad Series: Graduation Party with my Best Friends

I wanted to share a few snaps of the graduation party I had with my best friends from Richmond (some of these images are literally Snapchats I had sent… so we’re keeping it very casual in this post, ha). But first, if you haven’t seen it already, then you should definitely start with this post of our grad photoshoot before you read this 🙂

On the night before graduation we rented out the room and patio of one of our favorite restaurants, Postbellum, in Richmond. There we had appetizers, a custom dinner menu, and a cocktail list with drinks named after each one of us, depending on our favorite cocktails (haha). It honestly was the perfect way to catch up with each other’s families, who we have now known for a few years, and take a moment to celebrate each other in a calmer setting (ok, as calm as we can be, ha) without the chaos of a university-held event that includes hundreds of people. After doing this for ourselves, I’d definitely recommend organizing something of the sort if you’re contemplating a graduation celebration in the future!

We designed the invitations, menus, place cards, etc. on Canva (my favorite platform for fool-proof graphic design) and had them printed at our campus print shop— so easy! We used candle lanterns for the centerpieces that I found in the dollar section of Target (i.e. one of my  go-to shopping stops) as well as the tassel wine charms and cocktail napkins. Of course there was gold confetti glitter sprinkled everywhere— which we also found at Target (links below). Much love to a few of our littles, who went early to set up everything for us while we were at Richmond’s business school’s wine and cheese reception with our families!

Would you consider doing a post on how to style a long lob, I have a similar hair cut as you and was wondering how you get your hair to look so cute all the time specially when you were in Europe.
