I’m writing this post from bed– after a relaxing weekend of doing just this same thing… relaxing in bed. I wanted to give you a recap of my weekend, which will explain why I’m living in this Marleylilly fleece pullover…

I went to NYC this past Wednesday so I could be there for my boyfriend on Thursday, which happened to be his birthday, our anniversary, and Valentine’s Day all rolled into one (see more on that in this Instagram post).  We both had full work days on Thursday but then took the evening off to go to dinner at Gnocco in the East Village with his brother (who’s girlfriend was out of town). Both Johnny and his brother showed up wearing the same pink button-down to dinner, naturally. 😂It was such a quaint, cozy little spot with a bustling bar and a heated outdoor garden. We would definitely recommend it– make sure to get the truffle burrata!

On Friday we both had full days of work again and ended up indulging in burgers for dinner– at this point I could definitely tell that I was coming down with something. Johnny told me that I wasn’t even making sense with my words when I tried to order my burger at dinner   😂. You know when you’re just in a fog and feel kind of like you’re either under water or in an airplane?! Yeah, that’s the type of feels I was having.

I had felt the symptoms of a head cold on Thursday but had ignored them because it was Johnny’s birthday and NOT my day, but then Friday came and it was worse and then Saturday hit and I found myself a bit dazed and coughing while wandering the aisles of Walgreens with my girlfriend’s after our brunch at Tiny’s.

Needless to say, I spent the rest of Saturday in bed wearing my new fave monogrammed pullover (except looking nowhere near as put together or healthy as I do in these images, ha). Johnny spoon-fed me DayQuil and we watched all of season one of Schitt’s Creek while I hacked up mucus (so cute so cute). And all of this was on his birthday weekend! He couldn’t have been any sweeter and I am still so thankful for his attentive help while I was a hot mess.

But back to THE pullover— I cannot even tell you how soft and warm, yet lightweight it is. I got the size small and know that it is going to be the perfect layering pullover for both now (as we get through those last spurts of winter sickness 😉 ) and throughout the springtime. I’ve shopped and worn Marleylilly styles for years now, and this one (under $50 I might add!) is my very favorite piece for sure. It’s so après ski meets tropical oasis, don’t you think?!

I honestly couldn’t recommend it more for yourself or as a gift. It has helped me cozy up this weekend without getting overheated, and is definitely being packed for my next trip. If you’re interested in the exact one, I got the octagonal monogram with the neon pink thread!

Here’s to getting well this week and getting around to washing the pullover after my non-stop wear ;). Hope everyone has a wonderful start to the week! xxa

Much love to Marleylilly for sponsoring this post, and thank you for supporting the brands that support I Believe in Pink! xx
