A true “I Believe in Pink obsession” of mine is bracelet stacks. I affectionally call them “arm parties” and I have absolutely no fear about loading on as many bracelets as I can fit onto one wrist (and sometimes all the way up to my arm…). I think that stacking bracelets is the equivalent to layering necklaces– therefore it’s an easy way to elevate a casual ensemble and make it look chic.
Today I want to share my top 5 tips for creating the most fabulous arm party and stacking on bracelets in a way that’s cohesive and trendy. Read along and let me know your thoughts! xx
1. MIX HIGH PRICE WITH LOW PRICE
I love to splurge on nice items, but I love even more to find great deals. You can see this in the bracelets that I wear together. I pair a few nicer bracelets, like this cable bracelet, with other less-expensive items, like these bracelets, to make the entire bracelet stack look nicer.
Arm parties often look best when they stick to a color-scheme. I like to pick one or two colors and base my bracelets around that. For instance, I will choose all pink bracelets to wear together, or all pink and navy bracelets. The other day I had a rainbow bracelet arm party going on, in which I had red/hot pink bracelets at the top of my wrist, and then green after those, and then blue after those (seriously). In that case I may have taken the color-coordination a little too far, ha.
3. MIX AND MATCH METALS
One of my biggest pet peeves in life is mixing silver and gold. I know, that’s a little absurd, and mixing them is definitely fashionably OK, but it still bothers me nonetheless. So when creating a bracelet stack, I usually do all gold or silver-based bracelets. I love these cable bracelets because they have both silver and gold on them, so they can go with any bracelet stack and make silvers and golds work together and look cohesive.
4. PAIR BRACELET SIZES
Similar to choosing a color scheme, I like to make sure that my bracelets are all around the same size. For instance, I will either go with all thin, delicate bracelets, or stack on all thicker, bigger bracelets. That way, the bigger bracelets don’t overshadow the delicate ones and it looks more unified. I like to stick to between 5-12 bracelets for my bracelet stacks, but that can definitely be more or less depending on the size of the bracelets. Sometimes I even add in hair ties too if they’re pretty like these!
5. MAKE YOUR ARM PARTY THE STATEMENT ACCESSORY
If you’re really going to go all out with a crazy-fun arm party, then that should most likely be your focus accessory. In other words, it might be a little *cray* to have a multi-colored bracelet stack and then also be wearing huge colorful beaded tassel earrings all at once. Instead, I opt for something like simple pearl earrings or monogrammed studs to wear in addition to the bracelet stack. That way, all the attention is directed to where it’s deserved: your fabulous arm party. (But then again, too much is never enough, so if you want to accessorize like a queen, then by all means!) xx
