Fall is here in our little dorm room– in the form of pumpkins. We have a sparkly polka dotted pumpkin, a mini orange one, and dozens of edible candy corn-shaped ones! My roommate, Jenny, and I get over excited about celebrating holidays, and this time of year calls for decorations! Take a look at how we styled a few simple fall items:
I got this Kappa Alpha Theta glass during big/little week. It is perfect for storing candy while still looking pretty.
My mom brought me this gorgeous white and gold glitter polka dot pumpkin during Parent’s Weekend, which she found at Homegoods. It matches all of the gold and white we have in our room.
So if you spend any time with me throughout the day, you know that I have a major sweet tooth. I get my daily fix in the form of Reese’s peanut butter cups, frozen yogurt, red velvet cupcakes, caramel apple cider… the list goes on. Thus, it is imperative that we always have a small stash of candies in our room. Jenny’s all time favorite happens to be candy corn, and since this is a seasonal delicacy, we are currently hoarding it!
This is the festive Harvest-themed wreath we have hung on our door. It offers a cheery welcoming when I come back to my room after a long day. I do love a good holiday wreath!
I generally tend to shop at inexpensive places for dorm room decorations, because who knows how long they will last when everyone (me) is running around doing a million things and knocking over decorations. So I tend to stick to Homegoods, AC Moore, and Etsy for holiday items. I will be on the lookout for some pilgrim and turkey decorations soon after Halloween, so let me know if you see any cute ones!
